The Children of House of Imported Hearts, Continued

Continuing with our week-long profiles of the children of House of Imported Hearts, today we meet Prasetyo, a little boy who wants to protect and serve the people he loves. We hope this window into the lives of orphaned children will give you a better understanding of the project and our efforts to raise money to support their education and future. “Hello, my name is Prasetyo. I’m 5 years old. Now I’m schooling in kindergarten. I came from Surabaya (a prostitution area) in Tambak Asri. I don’t know anything about my real father, and my mom is working in a small warung (restaurant). I love her but she’s too busy working to buy me and my other family food. I have a lot of family members. Everyday I like to play with my friends here, in the orphanage. I like my new school. I also like listening to songs, to sing and dancing. When I grow up, I want to be a police man. I want to have guns and catching bad guys and put them into jail.”
