The Children of House of Imported Hearts, Continued

Continuing with our week-long profiles of the children of House of Imported Hearts, today we meet Laslou, a brave young boy who has faced unbelievable tragedy. We hope this window into the lives of orphaned children will give you a better understanding of the project and our efforts to raise money to support their education and future. “Hi, my name is Laslou. I’m 7 years old and now already in 2nd grade elementary school. I came from around the orphanage, so the orphanage is still in my neighborhood. I live with my mom and my older brother. Our dad passed away a year ago. He was a murder victim. Since he passed away, our life become so difficult. My mom, though she got breast cancer, selling homemade traditional food made by her own for our living. And all she does for us still can’t fulfill our education need. But now, I’m very happy I can go to school again, and I will study hard because I want to be a policeman when I grow up.”
